This is not your childhood fairytale. I am a sucker for fantasy fiction, this story takes old fables, princesses and science-fiction into a world that is relatable, exciting and interesting. I love the three main characters. If you're a fan of Once Upon A Time, but would like a little more darkness and flair thrown in, this is your story. I will warn you that it does get a bit gory at times, but not to the point where I wanted to stop reading, and I am squemish.

The structure of the story itself is very well done, with each chapter playing out chronologically, with some flashbacks to why the characters are the way they are.

The narrators are excellent, I've rarely heard an audiobook done with more skill. They truely give life and unique feeling to each character.

All in all, well worth it. I really wish there was more!
