Story
Progress is a constant state of learning and unlearning. Writer, curator and producer Liv Little questions our modern understanding of big subjects – consent, race, transness, disability and body image – by learning more about their past. Unlearn addresses a series of uniquely modern dilemmas: how did we get to the point where couples verify consent to have sex with each other via an app? How has our language about trans issues become so problematic and challenging? Is it possible for us to unpick the toxic understanding we have of our own body image?

This gave me hope
Reviewed: 2021-01-15
My coles notes of things I learned from this podcast People have a hard time loving and accepting themselves. This makes it more difficult for them to accept let alone love people they see as other. However I am hopeful for the day that we love and accept all for who, what and how they choose to be themselves for themselves. Black, Hispanic, Asian and Indigenous to name are few are all people and deserve to be loved and accepted. However melinated you skin is you deserve equality in every form. Gay, lesbian, bi and trans, however you choose to identify your sex, gender or non-gender you deserve equality in every form. People with disabilities and all body types deserve equality in every form. I am working to learn and unlearn. I believe there will be a day where people can be their authentic selves without fear of persecution or judgment.

Story
The world is a complex place. A complex place where answers are sometimes hard to find. But in this podcast the economy professor Micael Dahlen asks the seemingly simple questions that lead you on a winding journey into the core of what it means to be a human being. It might feel like social media is making us dumber, that our nightly scrolling through our phones makes us lesser human beings - but what if the behavior has more to do with distance and empathy to the people that we are trying to connect with than intelligence?

Worth the listen
Reviewed: 2020-12-03
I like to start off by saying I thoroughly enjoyed the content of the podcasts and Micael Dahlen's ideas and perspectives. I would definitely say it's worth a listen if you are a person with a curious mind. The main reason I didn't give it full stars across the board was because of some of the production. I found that the intro and outro music made it feel as though the content of the podcast was going to be depressing or doom and gloom. The other reason is when Micael Dahlen was speaking to the guests I found it difficult to find the right volume setting. It was loud when the guest spoke and quiet when he spoke.

Game changer
Reviewed: 2020-06-05
As a 20 something that was an avid crossfiter and Olympic lifter this book was a game changer for me. I was used to yo-yoing between super fit and impeccable routines to no motivation, time, energy and gaining weight. This Audiobook helped me hone in on why staying fit with "the look" I wanted was difficult to maintain and how to reach my real goals.

Story
Since time immemorial, humans have worshipped the gods they call Fhrey, truly a race apart: invincible in battle, masters of magic, and seemingly immortal. But when a god falls to a human blade, the balance of power between humans and those they thought were gods changes forever. Now only a few stand between humankind and annihilation: Raithe, reluctant to embrace his destiny as the God Killer. Suri, a young seer burdened by signs of impending doom. And Persephone, who must overcome personal tragedy to lead her people.
