I’m a huge Ruth Ware fan, but this is not her best novel. I found it very repetitive - to the point of annoyance. I understand that she was trying to build the suspense throughout the novel, but it felt like there wasn’t enough of a story to keep the reader interested. The whole climax came in the last chapter - some of which the reader will guess and the rest just doesn’t play as the big bombshell of an ending you feel promised. At least that’s how I felt... Especially in comparison with The Woman in Cabin 10 or In a Dark Dark Wood.

One of the best books I’ve ever read/listened to! Highly recommend - especially on audible with Trevor’s narration.

My favourite in the series!

I am a huge fan of the Cormoran Strike books, and I read them all before finding them on #Audible1. I’ve found a new appreciation for these novels since listening to them on Audible - Robert Glenister is the perfect narrator and I’m really looking forward to the new one coming out next week!

Career of Evil delves deeper into Cormoron Strike’s past as he searches for a deranged maniac that he may or may not have crossed paths with. A fantastically creepy storyline - highly recommend!

Ruth Ware is quickly becoming my favourite modern mystery author! Great story, thoroughly engaging, and wonderfully read by Imogen Church.

I’ve recently started listening to the unabridged Sue Grafton mysteries narrated by Judy Kaye and am thoroughly enjoying them! I’ve read them before, but as time passes memory fades, which allows me the joy of hearing/reading a great story all over again. V Is for Vengeance was particularly fun, and I highly recommend it. Judy Kaye does a wonderful job as Kinsey
