I really enjoyed this book for getting down to the basics. Before you go taking pills for nothing, maybe make sure you have diet, sleep and exercise right. That said, there were so many things to do, that it felt overwhelming. And it felt to me like all were equally important. But maybe that’s just what I took from it. Probably should listen to it again. For example, are coffee enemas really necessary? I feel like this went too far.
For a good complement on the social root of depression, still echoing the failures of medication, read Lost Connections by Johann Hari.
