After the loss of a friend and a false imprisonment in an Eleysian dungeon, Cyrene has no interest in destiny. Her heart was shattered, friends scattered, and her home is nothing but a pretty illusion. Even her magic won't cooperate. Only desperation can turn her to the last person she should trust: Prince Kael. His darkness mirrors a growing force lurking within her. A struggle she never imagined threatens to consume her. And as friends and foes begin to show their true colors, she starts questioning whether anyone is who they seem.

Exellent story, I love the ups and downs and the love and friendship. I only see one more book, I hope it's either the end or one comes out very very soon.

Narrator is awesome. She does great male voices....if there isn't a male narrator that is. Story was very entertaining. Great adventure story. I love prince Dean. Though one thing still gets me is the names. There somewhat hard to keep track of who's who. But other than that, I love serene and her fellow travellers.

This was the hardest book I have ever listened too. It made me angry to the point of gritting my teeth. The author did an exellent job with her descriptions but it is very graphic. I'm not sure if I would ever be able to listen to it again. I couldn't stop listening till it was over though. I had to know what would happen.

Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome - especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom - so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do - and sacrifice - for her.

Vanessa Mazur knows she's doing the right thing. She shouldn't feel bad for quitting. Being an assistant/housekeeper/fairy godmother to the top defensive end in the National Football Organization was always supposed to be temporary. She has plans, and none of them include washing extra-large underwear longer than necessary. But when Aiden Graves shows up at her door wanting her to come back, she's beyond shocked.

If anyone ever said being an adult was easy, they hadn't been one long enough. Diana Casillas can admit it: she doesn't know what the hell she's doing half the time. How she's made it through the last two years of her life without killing anyone is nothing short of a miracle. Being a grown-up wasn't supposed to be so hard.
