Nina Browning is living the good life after marrying into Nashville's elite. More recently, her husband made a fortune selling his tech business, and their adored son has been accepted to Princeton. Yet sometimes the middle-class small-town girl in Nina wonders if she's strayed from the person she once was. Tom Volpe is a single dad working multiple jobs while struggling to raise his headstrong daughter, Lyla. His road has been lonely, long, and hard, but he finally starts to relax after Lyla earns a scholarship to Windsor Academy, Nashville's most prestigious private school.

Emily Griffin always writes bang on chick literature. This book focuses on a few major characters and draws you into their perspectives. Lots of twists and turns (exciting.)

Novel is very current; centred around a high school student who’s explicit photo is circulated without consent.

An exciting and light listen.

I’ve had this audiobook in my library for three months and can’t seem to finish it. The story is very slow and I find myself losing focus. One of the characters in particular is a bore.

I thought I would learn a little bit about history but the characters are only bystanders to the war. I wouldn’t recommend this book.
