I loved the way the mystery unfolded and the fabulous narration. I would highly recommend

The main character's whining through the first half of the book drive me crazy. Finally some suspense and action in the second half. I don't think I'd recommend it

a teenage story.

I had no idea how early in life the message of worthlessness is imprinted in black children. Toni Morrison's writing is really prose and beautiful to hear in her own voice

too upsetting
