I loved everything about this book. The characters, the setting, the narration, the ending!! It feels these days like authors are trying to come up with the strangest and creepiest things to make into a story so it was so refreshing to hear a good old fashioned story by a great story teller. I might even listen to this one twice!

If you like Harlequin romances or Hallmark movies you might like this book...except there's nothing real life about the story at all and absolutely nothing unexpected or suspenseful.

SO loved this story. I listened on a road trip with my 8 year old granddaughter and she didnt want me to shut it off. It's fun and entertaining for young and old alike. There were moments that I chuckled and times she was so totally engrossed. Well written and so well performed.

I really struggled through this book...from the drama queen main character to the unbelievable plot to the narrators terrible accents. I always finish a book that I start and I have to say it did pick up a bit in the middle, but it was not one of those books that I can't wait to listen to every day.

This was a well written story with unexpected twists and very good characters. I enjoyed it very much, not a nail biting thriller, just a good
story. Sometimes the narrator was hard to listen to, he doesn't do the individual voices well, but it wasn't terrrible. I would recommend.

I'm not usually a fan of historical novels, but this one was a real pleasure to listen to. A lot of history written into the story that gives a real glimpse of real life in Cuba.
I did find the narrators to be lacking some in expression and I could hardly tell the difference between voices, but overall the performance was well done. This book is definitely worth the time to listen to.

This book totally took me by surprise - one of Nora Robert's best books in my opinion. I'm not usually a fan of fantasy or occult, but the story was so well written, I couldn't stop listening. And the narrator is amazing, did such a marvelous job with all the different characters. I look forward to Book 2!

Struggled to listen to this slow, boring, unimaginative story. It could've been so much more but the dialogue lacked and the story line lagged and the narrator was very hard to listen to.
