Rob Bell said in a RobCast episode that he is a seven on the Enneagram. A seven is often called "The Enthusiast". The Audible version of this book read by Bell himself affirms that "seven". But it's not a superficial, rah rah kind of enthusiasm. He owns his material from deep within himself--combining an amazing level of self awareness in analyzing his journey through life with a multilevel understanding of the stories and messages from Old and New Testaments. Disclaimmer: Rob Bell revived and deepened my faith in 2011 with his book Love Wins. I have since attended six of his live events, each time finding myself emersed in the flow of spirit that permeated the room. Listening to this book reignited that experience.

Great content. Needs great narrator.

Michael Schmidt is a gifted journalist. I love his contributions on cable news. But for me, his reading performance for a whole book was a tough go. It was his great content and integrity that kept me hanging in to the end. I recommend re-releasing the book with Jeff Daniels (or Mark Ruffalo) as the narrator. I'd buy it again!!

Gripping and moving.

A compelling story. Great narration. It felt like I was listening to the author. The narrator seemed to intellectually and emotionally own the material. The writing of this complex case kept me really engaged. Colin Sutton's heart felt perspective moved me to tears several times. And this even though I had previously seen the 3-episode dramatized version starring Martin Clunes (not John Candy).

Loved Palmer's ability to turn personal life lessons into messages we can all do something with in our own lives. The narrator was perfect.

The content was another fine French meal, albeit with a little too much sauce. The narrator was great--injecting real and appropriate emotion. I hope more of America tires of the grifters at the top.

I didn't expect this but I couldn't put it down. Being a long time meditator, I related to the experience of the transcendent.

Our church is planning to launch 24/7 in Brampton, Ontario. God, through this book is the catalyst. The audible version, through Pete's humble, honest, and engaging voice brings the words on the page to life.

In him (God) we live and move and have our being. And meditation opens our awareness of his presence inside. I pray that Yuval finds this to be true in himself.
