Highlighting the fascinating link between a child’s neurological development and the way a parent reacts to misbehavior, No-Drama Discipline provides an effective, compassionate road map for dealing with tantrums, tensions, and tears - without causing a scene. Defining the true meaning of the “d” word (to instruct, not to shout or reprimand), the authors explain how to reach your child, redirect emotions, and turn a meltdown into an opportunity for growth.

Love the advise. sometimes its hard to know the best way. these examples are backed up by the science of the brain and are explained in a simple way that anyone can understand. And it leaves room for the imperfection that all humans are. small and easy to do changes which can make huge differences in the way you and your child interact. Love it and will recomend it to anyone.

in the begining i feel the building of relations between the two main characters was rushed and could have been a littke better, but the characters were fairly strong and the writing is decent. The voice actor isnt half bad either. has a few different accents so pretty good too.

Four decades of peace have done little to ease the mistrust between humans and dragons in the kingdom of Goredd. Folding themselves into human shape, dragons attend court as ambassadors, and lend their rational, mathematical minds to universities as scholars and teachers. As the treaty's anniversary draws near, however, tensions are high. Seraphina Dombegh has reason to fear both sides. An unusually gifted musician, she joins the court just as a member of the royal family is murdered.

The concept for this is an interesting idea and has a fairly good base, however i find the character building may be lacking a little depth. Some of my perceiving the story this way may be because i found the narrative to lack feeling as well. It seems like she is talking almost monotone or as if she is keeping her voice down so others dont hear. i thought it may get better as the story went on and it did a little but it bothered me still. Good enough of a concept that i will consider manually reading the second but I dont think i will use audio for it.

A Breath of Snow and Ashes continues the saga of 18th-century Scotsman Jamie Fraser and his 20th-century, time-traveling wife, Claire. The year is 1772, and the rift between Britain and its American colonies has put a frightening word into the minds of all concerned: revolution. In the backwoods of North Carolina, violence has already reared its ugly head, as cabins have been burned to the ground. To preserve the colony for King George III, the governor pleads with Jamie to bring the people together and restore peace. But Jamie has the burden of knowing that war cannot be avoided.

What a great voice. Includes accents and differentiates between characters. You always know which character is talking just by the tone of voice and accent she uses. #Audible1

I am excited to read the next book. Wondering how far she plans to go with it. its interesting at the end she explains a few things about characters that actually existed and how she used the accurately in the book. Its amazing the length sje has reaserched while still creating a completely original piece.

Jamie Fraser knows from his time-traveling wife Claire that, no matter how unlikely it seems, America will win the Revolutionary War. But that truth offers little solace, since Jamie realizes he might find himself pointing a weapon directly at his own son - a young officer in the British army. And Jamie isn't the only one with a tormented soul - for Claire may know who wins the conflict, but she certainly doesn't know whether or not her beloved Jamie survives.

Davina does a great job with various accents and voices to clearly bring life to each character. the book is well written however i did find this one ends a little abruptly but i suppose that is a great way to be sure you'll come back for more.
