Imprisoned for more than two and a half years, Lale witnesses horrific atrocities and barbarism - but also incredible acts of bravery and compassion. Risking his own life, he uses his position to exchange jewels and money from murdered Jews for food to keep his fellow prisoners alive.
I riveting book of survival and love

Not the story I expected...
I loved listening to this book! I expected a completely different story, knowing it was about a concentration camp. I was pleasantly surprised by the perseverance, love and strength in this wonderful story. An amazing read/listen.
