This much we do know: Sophie Toscan du Plantier was murdered days before Christmas in 1996, her broken body discovered at the edge of her property near the town of Schull in West Cork, Ireland. The rest remains a mystery. Gripping, yet ever elusive, join the real-life hunt for answers in the year’s first not-to-be-missed, true-crime series.

Probably the best free book I've ever listened to! I'm not done yet but the performances are incredible - They have hours of audio from interviews integrated into the story from the main suspect, how cool! You will not regret this if you need to drive a distance, its just as good as netflix!

In the spring of 1989, three young people, born thousands of miles apart, each cut themselves adrift from their birthplaces and set out to discover what - or who - might anchor them in their lives. They each leave almost everything behind, carrying with them only a few artefacts of their lives so far - possessions that have proven so formative that they can't imagine surviving without them - but also the accumulated memories of their own lives and family histories.

This was an amazing book which to my surprise mentioned my small hometown of Yarmouth Nova Scotia along with many other Canadian locations which I have visited. I believe the book itself was originally written in French but this English translation was superb and did not take away from the story at all. I would recommend this book for any Canadian or people who are interested in geography. There are some contrasting Darwinistic and biblical aspects of this book which leads me to believe that this novel is more allegorical than it seems. I am excited to look at this book again from a more analytical perspective
