I really enjoyed this one of Ware’s. I’ve enjoyed most of her books (did not care for the Lying Game), but this one might be my new favourite. The mystery was well-plotted and I only figured out a few of the twists before they were revealed. The narrator was fantastic and made the story come alive. You could clearly tell which character was speaking at any given time and her pacing was great. I would definitely recommend this book for mystery lovers or fans of Ruth Ware’s other works.

Decent, but not amazing

I enjoyed Somehing in the Water, for the most part, but found the end rather predictable and was a bit frustrated with how repetitive one of the character’s mistakes/missteps felt.
Narration is terrific though; read by the author and she does a great job and has a very pleasant voice.

Starts off strong; spooky in parts; peters off a bit at the end.

I overall enjoyed the Broken Girls, it started off really strong, had some spooky bits, and I enjoyed the alternating points of view. The narrator did an excellent job. However, I found myself losing interest near the end and didn’t really care about the characters anymore. The ending felt expository rather than climactic.
