Beautiful story; don't miss it. This is another testament to education saving a person. Easy to listen with a most suitable narrator.

A must read

What an amazing story. Couldn't stop listening, My boldness to continue listening through all the pain and frustration was only because I knew the author survived to write the book. Enlightening look at some of our worst social conditions, a testament to hope AND education. Humble author is a human being whose life experiences are painfully remembered and finally transcended with determination and a loving heart. At first I wasn't sure about the author as performer, but now realize this authentic voice added to the experience of audio. Don't miss this book.

The title says it all - couldn't stop listening!

Although written simply, the recollections of childhood are perhaps best articulated this way, I was captivated and inspired. It is not just overcoming adversity, it is a baring of Jagmeet's soul. And much as I admired him and felt drawn to him as a leader prior to reading this, my respect and yes, LOVE for this man grew exponentially as I listened. His love and his courage are transferred to the listener by this audiobook. And the narrator is perfect.

Recommended to me by paper book readers, I can't get into this because it is such a strain to hear the audio and the reader's voice is an additional barrier. I will try it in paper when I find the large print edition. Disappointed.

Not sure why i listened to the whole thing...instead of improving it got worse as I persisted. It is pedantic and actually filled with poor or actually incorrect information. Had to write this review when near the end the author once again said to take B vitamin supplements because there are no grains in KETO. Meat is an excellent source of B vitamins. Do NOT use this book if you are embarking on KETO. But DO get some better information on the subject and consider this healthful way of eating.

Raw, funny, sarcastic and sometimes poignant. The narrator is as amazing as the writer. Have recommended to many and already gifted to my Mom. Lindsay Wong is a fresh voice and I hope she writes more, more, more.

There were parts that were compelling. Overall the best part was the dog - the most believable of the book's characters.

Based on a real World War One spy network, this is definitely a woman's perspective .Good story, good characters, enjoyed although sometimes a little tired of repetitive bits. Would have preferred a novella - or a single perspective ratehr than the two time lines.

Loved performance! Story shows the humanity, love and motivations of a "collaborator". Although the atrocities are present, they are not the object of the story. Very sympathetic characters.
