Australians will be offended ....
.... by the AWFUL Australian accents. Why, why, why choose a book to narrate if it is full of Australians and you can’t do the accent?
But his normal American voice is lovely to listen to and I really loved the story and the characters. Just going to get the second book in the series now!

Pete Banning was Clanton's favorite son, a returning war hero, the patriarch of a prominent family, a farmer, a father, a neighbor, and a faithful member of the Methodist church. Then one cool October morning in 1946, he rose early, drove into town, walked into the church, and calmly shot and killed the Reverend Dexter Bell.

First part was good and I was listening intently. Then it turned into a war story. No thanks. Then when the so-called mystery was finally solved... I literally said “who really cares about that boring mystery.”
