Story
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Lazy and Stupid

I don't say this lightly when I call this book "the worst thing I've ever read" (or listened to in this case). It is just one cliche after another, vague accusations and statements with no backing or evidence, and a liberal scattering of "f*cks" just so we can all be awed by someone putting a swearword in a book. Please don't read this garbage, please don't line Mark Manson's pockets, and please don't follow his advice on anything, especially when he's spewing transphobic hatred in chapter one. Just drop the book in the recycling and back away slowly.

A beautiful work that makes you really think

Very enjoyable. Made me pause and think many times. Beautifully read by DeGrasse Tyson. He explains these concepts with insight and understanding. A must read. Don't be frightened to rewind and relisten to parts of this as not everything is straight forward, despite only skimming the surface.
