This is a great set of the first four books in the Annabelle Archer Mystery Series. Each book is filled with quirky, charming characters set in the wacky and stressful world of wedding planning. The mysteries are very different from each other and consequently have a slightly different feel. What they share in common is the plethora of suspects, great clues, danger and suspense. In addition, it was delightful to see how the characters grew and developed over the four books. The writing is creative and witty with just the right amount of humour and suspense to hold the readers interest. I look forward to more books in this series. The performance added so much to the enjoyment of the listening experience.

The most hated man in all the world had been living in hiding and working as a tinker. Since his downfall, he has spent a lot of time reflecting on his actions. He wrote his memoir and decided to kill himself. Only things do not turn out the way that he thought they would. This is an epic fantasy tale that documents a man who gets a second chance to see if he can right some of the wrongs he committed. The world in which the story takes place is so creative and the descriptions detailed that it allows for the reader to visualize this totally different environment. It was very well done. The characters were excellently crafted with engaging personalities complete with strengths, weakness and a large variation in morality. From the beginning, the main characters capture your interest and you just need to find out how their lives will turn out. The storyline moves back and forth between his memoirs and current events. The story moves along quickly filled with emotional drama, action, surprises and suspense. The story is mostly from the reborn man’s point of view allowing access to his thoughts, feelings, internal struggles, motivations and actions. It is this struggle with himself that creates the emotional drama as he deals with self loathing and is confronted with those who he hurt in the past. This story explores the issues of good vs evil, morality, the capacity of the heart to hate, love, feel regret and forgive. I found this book enjoyable on many levels. It is a wonderful creative and meaningful work of art. The performances were amazing.
