A continuation of the epic tale of love through time.

The epic tale of deep abiding love through time continues in the fourth book in this amazing series. The characters are absolutely wonderful full of personality, complete with strengths and weaknesses. I loved the character interaction, especially the emotionally charged union of their daughter with Clare and Jamie. The storyline takes us on an emotional rollercoaster that is both heartwarming, and exciting. This story is so well written that you can almost feel like your in the past. The performance helps to bring the story alive.

The storyline flows quickly and smoothly and is an emotional rollercoaster that takes the reader on a adventure through time and the heart. It was a difficult book to put down as it captured my imagination. The writing is superb and the characters are so alive. I can hardly wait to read the next book. The performance added a great deal to the overall experience.

Matthew Fairchild is the Consul’s son and the golden-haired boy of the Nephilim. He has the love of his family and his parabatai James Herondale, and nothing to wish for, except excitement and artistry and beauty that do not seem to fit in with a warrior’s way of life. Matthew gets more than he bargained for at the Shadow Market, where he commits the greatest sin of his life - something he can never tell his parabatai, or any of the honorable Shadowhunters around him.

It demonstrated how a single action can alter the trajectory of someone’s life. The writing was great and the performance was well done.

This book is the third instalment in the Magisterium Series by Black and Clare. The characters are mostly children and are all magical. It is an interesting mix of friendship, loyalty and creativity as three best friends try to find the spy at the Wizard school and who is trying to kill one or more of them.
This world of wizardry is filled with amazing characters and unique creatures in a setting that is extremely creative and well crafted. The story flows well and is filled with action, adventure, suspense, mystery and explores the ever present fight between good and evil. The story is told from a young person’s point of view giving insight into their thought processes, motivations and actions they take. The child-like wonder, innocence and concerns of the main characters serves to highlight their fight against the evil that threatens them. I thought it courageous that the outcomes of their decisions are not always the perfect happy ending one often expects. I like that this book has multiple layers proving a rich reading experience.

Story
Months into the apocalypse, the zombies show no signs of dying, but it's clear everyone in Sunset Park will die without enough food to outlast the undead. Add in the less-than-sociable new neighbors only blocks away, and the hunt for sustenance has come to feel more like a race than a ramble. Sylvie is happy in her new home with the people who've become like family, though she's still working out how to let them into her heart. Eric wants in, and he wants to find his sister, but he can't do both at the same time.

Story
Sunset Park is gone. People are missing. Sylvie, Eric, and the other survivors have crossed the water to the security of a new Safe Zone, where they hope to heal their battered hearts, amass an armory, and get back at the ones who took it all away. But with zombies on the move and few resources to speak of, it’s harder than expected to plot their revenge. For some, it’s harder still to garner their resolve, since vengeance means more of them will die. But safety is ephemeral in a city where food is short and tensions are high. It seems fate may leave them no choice but to fight.

This is the third book in a post apocalyptic zombie series. In order to glean the most from the story, I suggest you read the first two books before this one. The characters are amazingly well crafted, full of personality, complete with strengths and foibles, making them more complex and interesting. The narrative is told from the two main characters’ point of view, allowing insight into their thoughts, motivations and actions. The action scenes are well described allowing you to visualize the setting and feel the desperation. I enjoyed this book as it explores the mystery of humanity, the good, the bad, and everything in between. I also enjoyed the fast paced storyline that was full of action, danger, sacrifice, heroism and romance. I am only sorry the series is over as I will miss these dynamic characters.
The performance added eve sly to the overall experience.
