I found it to be a haunting story of a time I know of but was too young to experience. Listening to the latter half during COVID-19 was surreal.

This was a very eye opening read about how deep the bias against women permeates society, politics, medicine, aid orgs, everything. Engaging read and performance.

This was a most interesting autobiography of Chief Justice McLachlin and how she came from a tiny Town to become Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

I am impressed at how well the author was able to intertwine all the characters over time into this story. I struggled to follow it at times, possibly because I stopped and started.

This is a wonderfully written story, intertwining history with the progress of the protagonist. This story has me dreaming of my midlife crisis where I drop it all to explore the world. The performer was perfect. I cannot recommend this book enough.

The story was lovely and the narration was excellent. I found the telling of the story to be disjointed. Characters that seemed peripheral were later revealed as having been important. I don't mean that the rose to importance but rather in hindsight they felt made important. Other characters disappeared from the story and I felt like I missed a chapter of the book. Still, it was a good story.
