I love this series. It's quirky at the right moments, and the world building is fantastic.

Pretty good series, overall. It's always nice to anticipate an event and be pleased by its occurrence anyway. The author threw a couple of curve balls, but with enough hints that there wasn't any whiplash, per se.

Book would be half bad if the main character wasn't a lustful douche who wanted to "bang the brains" out of anyone he found remotely attractive (which is most of the female cast). A smiiiidge overboard. He's in a fight for his life and all he cares about is how "perfectly proportioned her ass is" and how it fits perfectly in his hand. Blah blah bleughhhh.

Wow!!

My eyes flashed as I noticed this audiobook. I had really liked the first, so my eyes flashed with excitement as I saw that there was a second. Even better, it was a chunker compared to the first! My eyes flashed with regret as I saw the time ticking down. I did not want this book to end. My eyes flashed with sadness as it ended, but I found the overall experience very enjoyable. My eyes flash with anticipation as I eagerly await the next installment.

Updated this review after binging the series. I can't wait to listen to book 4. Cool magic premise (wouldn't classify it as a system without more about it). Main character is a little socially dense, but not irritatingly so. The narrator gets progressively better, ironing out weird pauses and such as he goes. I expected it to plateau, but the series gets better and better with each book. Worth the credit, for sure.

My sincerest thanks

Thank you for this book. I had hesitated in buying the first one, but this is hands down in my top 5 of all time favourites.

Pleasantly surprised by this one. Enough crafting and skill buying to get me interested without any of the droning self reflection that made me return the last litrpg that I bought.

A great first book

I quite enjoyed getting glimpses of the future. It's nice to know what will be the end of a storyline and still be shocked how it happens, then filling in the middle with the next books. Checks most of my boxes, so I can't wait for the rest.

Oh, to be able to binge this series

Powerhouse of a book. Reminded me of a faster paced Stormlight Archive, at parts. Could not finish it fast enough, yet hated to hear the end credits. Thanks for this one.

First off, I like the narrator. He doesn't overdo it like lots of other narrators seem to feel like they have to do.
Secondly, the book was pretty good. Started strong, dipped and took its time to regain momentum, but was worth it.
