As a proud Canadian and someone who is fascinated with the stories of the royal family. I am extremely disappointed in this book. Firstly, I would call it a "Clive Irving's point of view as a journalist witnessing the reign of Elizabeth II". Also, he calls New Brunswick a state... This made me give up on the book because this clearly tells me that Irving did not truly do ANY research if you think a PROVINCE is a state. Sir, in Canada we have provinces and territories. To call any of these a state tells me you did not do EVEN basic research nor sought to understand how Canada navigates it's commonwealth status. This is insulting to Canadian readers and therefore I cannot finish nor ever recommend this book. Shame on you Clive Irving. Shame.

A worthy ending!

If you’ve read/listened to the first five books. You might as well finish the series and discover the ending. It’s a bit of a “suddenly it’s all solved” ending, but I’d still recommend it. Enjoy!

This book is just ok. Still contains McGuire’s gorgeous writing but that’s about it. The story is kind of boring to anyone who doesn’t love horses. In short, it’s just a decent addition to this fun whimsical story. I would skip it unless you really, really like horses.

I like many others have had a very hard year and my feelings have been dark at times. This book helped a bit in my journey back to positivity, If I had one complaint, it's that Nora comes off as darn entitled, and kind of hypocritical at times, Otherwise, very good book.

Honestly, you can get all of this on her YouTube channel. But if you love it (as I do), you’ll love this as she is more detailed than in the videos.

Okay, the first four hours were aggravating and I was loosing it on both Faye and Jack. If this audiobook had not been gifted to me, I would have returned it. But I was encouraged to stick it out and at the 4 hour mark, this book became more interesting and less painful. By the last 3 hours, I was engaged. By the end, I was satisfied and happy with the ending. Overall, its a decent story and the performance is good. But my god, did I hate Faye for quite a while at first. If you read this one, listen to the first or two hour, then skip to the 4th hour.
