Premise is great as are the actors. Simplistic plot and inappropriate jokes about gays really turned me iff!

I really enjoyed this book. the fantasy caught me up and held me to the end. at first I wondered if I would enjoy the narration. in fact the narrator's delivery truly added dimension to the story.

A great read and puzzle that keeps you guessing to the end. Quite moody and brooding in the fadhion of Jane Eyre. There are some terrific lines that lovers of books and the stories they tell will relate to.

I really appreciated learning about events of the revolution within the frame of a story. Marie was easy to identify with and it gave me a new perspective. The romance piece was minimal and I was glad of that. Loved the end notes.

Fabulous narration. A great story, not just your everyday romance. The characters were well developed and I was sorry to say goodbye.
