The endless repetition of their conflicted inner feelings was tedious beyond belief. Again, this book could have been so much better had it been 5 hours shorter. I am hooked on the Cylus character but I sincerely hope that the 11+ hours of the 3rd book will not be the same constant inner dialogue on an endless repeat loop.

Informative and well written!

While I truly enjoyed the story and delving into the psychology of the dom/sub dynamic, the internal dialogue was FAR too long and repetitive. The same artful telling of the story cold have been achieved in a few hours less to be sure. Still worth the read however.

While I have enjoyed the books, by the 6th book the redundancy, inner dialogue, and poor research/editing are taking their tole. I still want to know how the story ends, so she has done something right, at this point I do not care about the inner thoughts of the characters. Simply put, this series could have been completed in 7 books MAXIMUM. Hard to say if I will use 3 more credits to find out.

While Saskia Maarleveld is very good, it was too bad Jennifer Ikeda did not read this addition to the series. Her tone and performance contributed greatly to the All souls trilogy and better captured the personalities of the characters in a manner that in this installment, fell short a little even though the current reader is nonetheless very good.

I have read countless books and series set in vampire/witch/demon and other supernatural worlds. This series by far, was the most captivating, riveting, balanced, and well woven adventure I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I was literally transported throughout the entire series. I assure you that I am VERY selective and critical given that I am well travelled, am passionate about history, philosophy, and have deep knowledge of letters and science (linguistics psychology background and I am a neuroscientist) and I rarely if ever, write reviews. I was simply astonished at how brilliant these books are. The craft with which this series was constructed is simply stellar.. Also, how it gets to the very heart of true humanity, both its failings and triumphs is without compare in supernatural fiction. Stellar, just stellar. Thank you for all your hard work and so evident passion for your art. I would also like to "souligner" the masterful performance of the reader Jennifer Ikeda without whom, this rich work would not have come to life as it has done. I say in the 7 langages I speak, BRAVO!
