Whether you’re in a relationship or between, this is some awesome real talk. Perel explains the boundaries and balance between the erotic space and the intimacy of partnership with nods to history, theory and examples drawn from her work as a therapist. She throws light on the simple dichotomy behind a lot of relationship angst and even provides easy strategies to win back the passion from the beginning of relationship without losing the comfort and security of time spent building a life together. Listening to her narrate her own work was more personal and I have already shifted some things that were stuck in how I show up in my relationship. Great read. I also recommend her podcast, “Where Do We Begin?” #Audible1
