I like Kate Atkinson, her books are always well written. The characters are not all perfect
but they make human decisions. The interaction between Brody and his son seems real.
The narrator was also not too over the top. Just right.

The book was recommended, so I tried it. It took a while to get into it, but then I didn't want it to finish. Well written, without sensationalism. A mellow, thoughtfu,l well researched book. The narrator was excellent .

I have always liked books by Joy Ellis. This certainly did not disappoint. Unusual twist, and also a little sad.
Looking forward to reading, listening, to more by this author and narrator.

It was interesting to solve a mystery without any of the advances we take for granted now. Aprons with blood on would easily have led to an arrest with DNA evidence.
However, preconceived preduces, and the acceptance of most about the womans positions in society, led to an interesting and believable story.

It took a while to get into the book, bit I ended getting wrapped up in the mystery.
I like Elly Griffiths and look forward to hearing another episode in the life a Clare and Harpinder.

I liked the use of the distinctive accent in the narration of this very good book. The story was good and came together we'll. The characters seem real and human with all the issues one would expect, and some that are different. I will listen to the next one in the series

Harsh story line. I suspect not too distance from reality.
The characters are well formulated and believable.
