Story
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

This book took me on an emotional journey of perseverance and love. Where the Crawdads Sing was brilliant. Originality, poignancy, vulnerability and strength. Probably one of the best book I've ever read. Delia Owens is absolutely an author I'll be following. If you've never been lost in a book, you should read Where the Crawdads Sing.

Lovingly written and narrated. Smart and funny. Such a fierce and focused woman. Refreshingly candid. Everything I hoped for. Not only a good role model, but love the resilience and strength in the face of adversity.
