This book does an excellent job humanizing the many victims from the highway of tears, and it is sad that this needed to be done, as they have been discarded and forgotten by most of Canadian society, including myself.

Highway of Tears also rightfully puts the spotlight on Canada’s continuing racism towards indigenous communities. A must read for all Canadians.

Thoroughly enjoyed this blind buy - funny and insightful, and I always appreciate a great oral performance by the writer, Phoebe. The addendum is absolutely adorable!
