This was a powerful book as it delves into a world very few talk about and I commend the author for her willingness to be vulnerable. However, as a person who shares some similar experiences, it was tough to listen to at times. Despite trying to make this represtative of many, I found this memoir represented an experience very few have access to (ie so many doctors and specialists). I also think a different narrator would've been better as often the narrator was monotone and made it easy to tune out.

phenomenal book!

this book is a non-starter. I thought it would be interesting and go into depth of some of the more famous hostage situations, such as Waco, but there were about 2 sentences on it. Very Dry and boring where you're left waiting for something to happen.

Supplemental PDF does not match the book

Excellent book! Very informative but the PDF does not align with the chapters. All there is are the Basal Body Temperature charts, massage diagrams, and meal recommendations. Then more BBT charts. That is it! Where do we get the rest of the documents??

I struggled to finish this book. The story was nice; however, I got stuck after the author explained a woman who sounded awful by saying she was overweight and wore "drug store makeup", implying that people like this woman, who was likely working where they were just to make ends meet, are "less than", "gross" or are "trashy". IMO, that's just a person passing judgement on another person based on their appearance, the job they had and the area they were in. After that, I just heard a judgemental author who came across as snobby towards the billions of people who are not movie stars and who are not wealthy.... the people who can only afford "drugstore" makeup (if that). #Audible1

Very enjoyable book with a lot of information. Inspiring and enjoyable. I couldn't stop listening and was sad every time I stopped driving as I had to pause the story. #Audible1
