I couldn't stop listening

the narrator was fantastic and entertaining to listen to, the technical information was tied nicely into the real life experiences so if you aren't familiar with anatomy and medical lingo then you can draw correlations from the stories and have it make sense. The statistics are eye opening, trauma is truly a world wide pandemic that needs our focus, love and time in order to heal and prevent.

Story
Tara Westover was 17 the first time she set foot in a classroom. Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, she prepared for the end of the world by stockpiling home-canned peaches. In the summer she stewed herbs for her mother, a midwife and healer, and in the winter she salvaged in her father's junkyard. Her father forbade hospitals, so Tara never saw a doctor or nurse. Gashes and concussions, even burns from explosions, were all treated at home with herbalism. Then, lacking any formal education, Tara began to educate herself. Her quest for knowledge transformed her, taking her over oceans and across continents, to Harvard and to Cambridge.

Story
We’ve all heard of fake news, but what about fake history? Dominic Sandbrook explores two and a half millennia of human history, traveling from the American Deep South to the air raid shelters of wartime Britain, to discover how the past has constantly been manipulated, rewritten and reshaped. It turns out that when it comes to history, separating fact from fiction isn’t always easy. Many of the widely held beliefs about our past are based on a web of lies.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, so much so that I'm disappointed there are only 6! I dislike reading history so I listen to it and these angles of history were captivating.
