Story
Gem's life has gone from bad to worse faster than her secret demon baby can say "baby daddy". What started as a crappy job and a possible killer to bring to justice has become a full-blown conspiracy from hell. Literally. Demons are being summoned into New Orleans and Gem is sure there's a Nephilim behind it. Now, all she has to do is prove it. Oh yeah, and not get herself killed in the process. Too bad for Gem, everyone has secrets, including her. And when the powers-that-be find out what she's capable of, they'll stop at nothing to silence her once and for all.

Wholly this is my new favorite series!!! I found the first book to be a bit slow, but Two and Three are amazing. I can't wait for book four.
Well written, funny, tons of mystery, flawed and realistic characters. Plus, super sexy males. This book is a win for me. I highly recommend this series.

Story
After being demoted to the position of "cleaner" for the SSF, Gem's not sure life gets much worse. But when she stumbles upon a level six demon in her last trimester hiding in downtown New Orleans, she realizes she was very, very wrong. Apparently, maternal instincts apply even to demon babies. Gem can't let the council destroy such an innocent creature. Even if it is destined to grow up and try to eat her someday. On a mission to protect, Gem must figure out who's opened a portal for high level demons and what it has to do with her own father's murder.

Such a great ride, still not sure where it is going. Sassy and bold leading lady who smashes the patriarchy. I really was surprised how much I like this book, and so much mystery, still not sure where its going. It is an amazing start to a new series. If you like Annette Marie, Karen Lynch, Katerina Martinez, or Emma L Adams, I'd recommend this to you.

Story
There’s only one thing you really need to know about the world I come from: The witch council is as archaic and backward in their ways as they are powerful. So, when they arrange for me to marry the most powerful warlock in the world so that I can give them magic babies, I do what any sensible 24-year old would do. I run. Or, at least, I try to. Turns out, when push comes to shove, they’re willing to bargain on the whole marriage thing.

Story
Ten years ago, there was a battle, a curse, and a princess. It sounds like a fairy tale. It isn’t. Still deep in her eversleep, powering the wards of the last fae sanctuary, Vlari has one adversary to fight: time. Time for the folk to gain the weapons they need to fight against the invaders. Each passing day, she’s less likely to awaken. Drusk has ceased to hope she ever will, until something changes at the very core of Tenebris.

Everyone knows who the magical estate will choose for its next ruler. Or do they? Will it be the lord’s eldest son, who he despised? His favourite nephew, with the strongest magical land-sense? His scandalous daughter, who ran away from home years ago to study illusion? Hetta knows it won’t be her, and she’s glad of it. Returning home for her father’s funeral, all Hetta has to do is survive the family drama and avoid entanglements with irritatingly attractive local men until the Choosing.

All Dahlia wanted was her freedom. But first, she needed to buy out of her promised bonding - a promise that was made for her before she was even born. Almost a century of trying had taken its toll, and she did some things she isn’t proud of. She lost parts of herself along the way and flirted with the darkness inside her...and it flirted back. Everything in her life systematically blew up in her face one piece at a time. Blaming it all on the beautiful, egotistical vampire who showed up in her life would be easy, but it started long before he arrived.

This book is just so good! Normally, I don't read demon books that involve Lucifer as it messes with my right and wrong compass. But this book was bad ass! Funny and witty, the main character is great. Sassy AF. And Cris is one of my favorite narrators of all time. Highly recommend! If you like guild codex style books, pretty sure you'll like this.

It was an ordinary job. Another night, another asshole collector of the supernatural. I free some poor little beasties from their cages, pocket a few trinkets to pay my bills, and burn the place down on my way out. Just call me the Robin Hood of monster emancipation. I didn’t count on three manly monsters following me home like lost puppies. Stunningly hot lost puppies, but still. Now I’ve got a seductively cheeky incubus, a sweetly enthusiastic demon, and a grimly stoic angel camped out in my kitchen.
