I really enjoyed this book because Dr. West provides brutally honest critiques across the political and racial spectrums in what I felt was the least divisive way possible. He also provides some proposed solutions for fighting white supremacy and racial inequality. I could feel his desire for a better world and for everyone to move forward together. It was also narrated by Dr. West which was awesome.

Some very important points made. Do your own research.

Everyone has to decide where they fit in and how they can authentically do the work to help make our world a better place. Just my personal thought but read lots, observe lots, listen lots and do not let anyone speak for you or others, regardless of your ‘race’ or theirs.
I wish everyone blessings, justice and love.

The more I read Sowell’s works the more I appreciate the the study of history and the necessity to preserve it’s factual integrity.

If you are open to learning about the complexity of human history and feel that there is something wrong with the simple narratives that we are exposed to in present times, you will enjoy this book and learn much. However, you have to be open to the fact that there may be things that you don’t know you don’t know and that you’re presumptions about how the world works and beliefs about why things are the way they are will be challenged.
