If Darcy Barrett hadn’t met her dream man when she was eight years old, the rest of the male population wouldn’t be such a let-down. No one measures up to Tom Valeska, aka the best man on Earth, not in looks, brain, or heart. Even worse is the knowledge that her twin brother Jamie saw him first, and claimed him forever as his best friend. Tom’s off limits and loyal to her brother, 99 percent. One percent of Tom has had to be enough for Darcy, and her adoration has been sustained by his shy kindness. And if she’s honest, his tight t-shirts.

3.5 overall instead of 3, but I definitely went into this with too high of expectations because of The Hating Game. While a great HEA, childhood best friend to lovers just isn’t my trope of choice. A good listen for a snowstorm but not one I’ll be returning to again.

Busy Philipps’ autobiographical audiobook offers the same unfiltered and candid storytelling that her Instagram followers have come to know and love, from growing up in Scottsdale, Arizona, and her painful and painfully funny teen years to her life as a working actress, mother, and famous best friend. Busy is the rare entertainer whose impressive arsenal of talents as an actress is equally matched by her storytelling ability, sense of humor, and sharp observations about life, love, and motherhood. Her conversational writing reminds us what we love about her on screens of all sizes.

One of the comedy world's fastest-rising stars tells his wild coming of age story during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed. Noah provides something deeper than traditional memoirists: powerfully funny observations about how farcical political and social systems play out in our lives.

I went into this knowing I loved Trevor. He’s so compelling as the daily show host and his book has just deepened my love. His stories flow like you’re sitting around a table enjoying a meal and just comparing life. I’d be surprised if you listened to this and didn’t enjoy yourself.

When Carrie Fisher recently discovered the journals she kept during the filming of the first Star Wars movie, she was astonished to see what they had preserved—plaintive love poems, unbridled musings with youthful naiveté, and a vulnerability that she barely recognized. Today, her fame as an author, actress, and pop-culture icon is indisputable, but in 1977, Carrie Fisher was just a teenager with an all-consuming crush on her costar, Harrison Ford.

You already know Carrie is a great listen. She’s funny, she’s earnest and she’s vulnerable. But did you know her daughter Billie is just as good? Honestly my favourite part was listening to Billie, and that’s saying something because this whole book was fantastic. Can not recommend this highly enough.

Full disclosure. I’ve had an arc of this book for months and just hadn’t gotten around to it. But after listening to Gabrielle on a podcast I decided to use my latest credit to get the audio book. It’s hands down one of the best use of my credits so far on audible. Her intention of making you feel like you’re just pals sitting together over wine swabbing stories comes through and it’s so refreshing! I laughed, I cried, I had people look at me weirdly in public for my visible reactions to her stories. She’s honest and real about the struggles she and people of colour face in today’s society. I can not recommend this highly enough. Do yourself a favour and download this book.

The day Robyn Flores meets Zac Fallon is one of those days. You know, when you’re already late for work. Mostly because you haven’t really slept since your best friend abandoned you for her fiancé and her exponentially better life. The kind of day you drag yourself to the cleaners to pick up your laundry, only to discover you’ve got the wrong bag - Star Spangled sequined thong, anyone? So Robyn is definitely not ready for the ridiculously gorgeous guy at her front door, except that they have each other’s clothes. But then, is any woman ever ready to meet the love of her life?

I’m pretty sure strangers on the street were concerned about my health because my face would go red at how steamy some of scenes were. The man narrating Falcon has the perfect voice. I may need to relisten to this just to listen to him again. The story is sweet yet sexy, Zoey has knocked it out of the park and I can’t wait to see where she goes in this series. Hopefully the next book is about Aiden..

Lucy Hutton has always been certain that the nice girl can get the corner office. She's charming and accommodating and prides herself on being loved by everyone at Bexley & Gamin. Everyone except for coldly efficient, impeccably attired, physically intimidating Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual.
