It was a light read, I enjoyed it. I wasn’t a fan of the narrator though. She consistently mispronounced Canadian words and words in general which was a bit distracting. Not sure why they didn’t choose a Canadian narrator. Still worth the purchase, especially if you like K.A. Tucker’s other books.

You always remember your first love. Don't you? It began with four words. "I love your laugh." But that was 12 years ago. It really began the day Georgina was fired from The Worst Restaurant in Sheffield (TripAdvisor) and found The Worst Boyfriend in the World (Georgina's best friends) in bed with someone else. So when her new boss, Lucas McCarthy, turns out to be the boy who wrote those words to her all that time ago, it feels like the start of something. The only problem? He doesn't seem to remember Georgina at all.

Rachel Hollis has seen it too often: women not living into their full potential. They feel a tugging on their hearts for something more, but they’re afraid of embarrassment, of falling short of perfection, of not being enough. In Girl, Stop Apologizing, number-one New York Times best-selling author and founder of a multimillion-dollar media company, Rachel Hollis sounds a wake-up call. She knows that many women have been taught to define themselves in light of other people - whether as wife, mother, daughter, or employee....

Maybe you had to read Girl, Wash Your Face to get excited about this book but I couldn’t finish it.! I listened for about an hour and couldn’t turned it off. I couldn’t connect at all with her message because it seemed really obvious to me and she repeated herself constantly. Also, it’s a book that tells you what to do instead of showing you through stories and examples, so I was bored. Also needed to speed up the narration as it was way too slow and enunciated, like she was reading to a toddler.

On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

I’ve listened to most of Brené’s books by now and still found tons of nuggets of wisdom in this one. Glad I bought it, I’ll be listening to it on repeat.

What a let down. I’m pretty committed to a series once I start but I just could not get through this book. The character development that I fell in love with in book one just dies (along with the plot) and it’s literally just Callie going on about Des’ hot body and her wings. That’s all that is talked about.

If you’re looking for something light with a lot of romance you’ll likely enjoy this. I had trouble getting through it at the end as there were so many plot points that didn’t add up. The character development was lacking for the MC and especially the love interest - I felt I couldn’t fall in love with the characters because I didn’t feel I even knew them. The best part was the audio performance as she voices both an English accent and Irish accent flawlessly which helps to put some life into the characters.
