I liked this book, was happy with the ending. I loved Evan's parts, but felt like Julia parts dragged on. This is not a problem though, because the way the book is written and published, it's easy to skip chapters or parts one doesn't like.

I listened to this book much later after watching the movie. Love both versions!
It's a classic love story, a bit stereotypical, but a fun listen. Very well written and narrated.

The secret to weigh loss according to this book is simple, but it is not easy. There is in fact no secret at all: don't eat junk, don't eat after 7 pm and exercise 90 minutes a day.
What is different about this book is that the author took time to analyze and discuss different weight loss theories and diets (i.e. keto, low carb, intermittent fasting) and discredit al of them.
The author presents some interesting ideas worth trying, however, if one can get past the difficult to follow narration. Overall, I found some value in the book, but almost gave up so many times throughout because of the difficulty in following the narration.

If one is willing to listen through large repetitive volumes of information, she will be able to pick up an interesting idea or two. This book would bring more value as a summary.

I can't pin it down to what didn't work for me in this book. The narration was engaging enough, and the book had some interesting stories, but not interesting enough to make me want to finish it.
I was expecting to trade my time and attention for an insight and information. However, the insight and information about the system (what I was looking for) was sparse and mostly the book dealt with justifications and reasons for the author's actions. I didn't feel that the little interesting bits I was getting were worth my attention.

This is a story of a journey to redefine what beautiful can be.
I loved this book, and the narration was great as well.
It is an original story, not the traditional: "girl meets boy, falls in love and becomes beautiful". It is a story of finding yourself and your inner beauty and being loved for who you are.
The author created unique twists to the plot, not following the "success formula" of a romance novel. This made the book stand out.

It is an interesting listen, but a bit intense and might be better suitable for reading.
It was hard to pick up on ideas at time, and some of the parts were very repetitive.
Overall a good book, and I learned some interesting concepts. I was not able to listed to each section though.

It is hard to write a good book where there is not much of a story line, and all captivation is base in the description of emotions of the characters. But Rachel Hollis did a marvellous job with this book! I loved it!

I can't wait to listen to the rest of the books in the series.
I enjoyed this book, and the narration. It has the perfect mix of an interesting story, personal details and suspense to make one not want to put it down.
I loved how the main character despite hardships she has to go through as a new girl trying to fit in, maintains her integrity and sense of who she is, she wins over the hearts and reaches success by staying true to who she is.

Very interesting theories. Like most things brilliant, the insights in this book are simple and easy to understand, yet they make you think about yourself, your relationship with others and the world differently.
I think one needs to take her time listening to this book, and maybe re-listening to parts of it from time to time.
Highly recommend it for anyone with a growth mindset looking to better understand oneself and the world around her.
