as with all books and material from Dr.Brown , this is a book that needs to be read and read again as it offers so many important insights that are difficult to be absorbed and understood at once.

written by someone that has no direct experience with divorce and breakdown. it comes through as judgemental (although no intentional). it lacks empathy. it's a book that has an interesting topic, but doesn't have a ideal client in mind. this book doesnt speak to me as a researcher, a single mother raising a daughter and as a successful professional woman that grew up without a father. I doubt it would speak to my daughter either that keeps getting hurt by an absent, self center and narcissistic father that came back into her life after 6 years of complete absence.

this is one among my favorite Brenee Brown's books. it's always on my phone because I need constant reminders during the journey of letting go of perfection and embrace real and imperfection. it really helped me to heal as well from my own wounds as a child.

I love the teachings and examples of this book. I listen to it for the 2nd time at a great time of stress and anxiety in our Family. the teachings, jokes and laughter helped me to move through and be present and real with my daughter and with my friends. the dumping the Cool and on control really makes a huge difference!

Good resource a little repetitive st times. some good suggestions, but many sound cheese/non applicable in daily life. it feels like this I'd a resource for semi-amicable situations. limited help for parents struggling emotionally. ypur ability to help your child is strongly linked to your ability to recognize where you are emoyionally in the process. didnt find it helpful in that perspective. not an easy read in a society that struggle to read in the first place. comprehensive work but limited ability to reach the target public.
