I really liked it but it's already dated

I really enjoyed this book but I had to give it 3 stars because it is already dated even though it was only written a couple of years ago. It makes so many references to Trump being the current president that it feels dated. This is a shame because the points she makes are good and it was quite fun to listen to the author read it with the same passion it was written with. I would still recommend this book to anyone as it is a good read with some interesting thoughts and genuine funny moments.

This book is great. I used to watch Til Debt Do Us Part so when this book was offered to me for free on Audible I jumped on the chance. I have always tried to manage my finances by thinking "I want to make Gail proud of me". This book is a fabulous resource to help you figure out what to do to help get yourself out of debt. Even if you don't use her whole system there are still great tips and tricks in there.

I highly recommend it to everyone.

Loved it! It made classic tropes so fun.

This book has all the classic fantasy RPG tropes but makes them quite amusing as it teases and makes fun of them at the same time. My only wish is that the fashionista class came into play more.

The material was great and super thought-provoking but the narration is so monotone it sounds like an AI computer is reading it to you. It is so monotone that it made me sleepy despite the fact I really wanted to listen to it. I would recommend a hard copy of the book over the audiobook for this one.

Overall the story is a pretty classic ghost story. Nothing really unpredictable happens. The narration is a bit awkward in places due to poor grammar and pronunciation.

This story is wonderful, beautifully written, and beautifully read. It is also easy to follow even if you are not familiar with Greek mythology, and if you are it gives it another interesting layer. Loved it.

This is a must-read for anyone who is not intimately aware of the Indian Act, it is incredibly eye-opening. It is also presented in such a way that it is easy to understand and lets you think about the information. Highly recommend.

I wept so hard while listening to this book I was glad it was an audiobook and not one I had to read myself. I am not sure I could have made it through it if I was the one who had to read the words on the page. When I first started listening, I thought the story was pretty sad, and a bit depressing. Yet I couldn't stop listening. It only seemed to get sadder and more heart wrenching from there. I ugly cried for Majnoun. Once I started to cry for Majnoun, I couldn't stop, I continued crying all the way to the end. I couldn't even describe what had happened later to my family without starting to cry all over again. This was an incredibly emotional and moving book. I can see why it is an award winner.

I agree with those that came before me, why is *expletive deleted* there no sequel? Oh my goodness this was everything I wanted from a book and more. The stories were interesting, fun, dark, gruesome, compelling, and just kept me listening for hours on end. I couldn't stop wanting more. Even the ending was super satisfying. The different voice actors were fantastic. This is what an audiobook is meant to be!

YAS! MORE!!! What do you mean there is no more? Nooooooooo!

The stories just end so abruptly that you don't even realize you have entered into another chapter/story until you finally catch on that the character names or professions have changed. I had to keep pausing and looking at the app to see if I was in a new chapter, then go back a minute to relisten to the end of the last chapter because I would think I missed something. Nope, they just ended, right in the middle of the story.

Thankfully I got this for free with the Giller Prize promotion because I would have been upset if I had paid for it.
