One of the comedy world's fastest-rising stars tells his wild coming of age story during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed. Noah provides something deeper than traditional memoirists: powerfully funny observations about how farcical political and social systems play out in our lives.

I have always enjoyed watching Trevor Noah through the years and was really excited when I found out that he wrote AND narrated his own book. I did not expect to hear such deep, funny and touching stories through his childhood. To hear about the cultures he grew up with and around was also a reminder of how vastly different, yet uniquely similar many cultures can be. I was disappointed when the book ended and can only hope that he one day writes AND narrates another book. I highly recommend this book

I think that they chose the absolute right person to read this book as they had a perfect voice for it as well as an incredible talent for the range of emotions and different characters she was able to portray. Very well done. As always the Sevenwater Series is one of the best series I've ever read in my life and the audio book has just magnified my deep love for the series.

As I'm sure most can appreciate it can be hard to pick a favorite book when you love reading and it took me many, many years but this book is incredible and every time I read it, I love it more. Listening to the audio version was amazing. I loved learning how to finally pronounce their names properly! The flow of the audio book was perfect too.
