In her memoir, a work of deep reflection and mesmerizing storytelling, Michelle Obama invites listeners into her world, chronicling the experiences that have shaped her - from her childhood on the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive balancing the demands of motherhood and work to her time spent at the world's most famous address. With unerring honesty and lively wit, she describes her triumphs and her disappointments, both public and private, telling her full story as she has lived it - in her own words and on her own terms.

A great book for working mothers to inspire hope
Michelle Obama is a great writer and really conveys a hopeful message to all mothers that it is okay to be very educated, and climb the ladder, and want to take care of your own children, and marry hardworking overly ambitious men, and it’s also ok to be optimistic that everything will work out just fine. I related to her on so many levels, which was surprising as a Canadian mother of two with no real political background. I heard her ambitions, frustrations, and life goals and felt so much authenticity in her voice.
