Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

We'll developed story and a great court room drama, as we would expect from Grisham. Michael Beck did a superb job of narrating.

Pete Banning was Clanton's favorite son, a returning war hero, the patriarch of a prominent family, a farmer, a father, a neighbor, and a faithful member of the Methodist church. Then one cool October morning in 1946, he rose early, drove into town, walked into the church, and calmly shot and killed the Reverend Dexter Bell.

Micheal Beck did a superb job of reading this book. From fighting in the jungles of the Philippines to a Southern black women, he made it very real. Grisham doesn't disappoint and it is a good story. The middle part of the book dealing with Pete's time in the war was very exciting and kept the buds in my ears for hours at a time. I did find the last third of the book dragged and was hoping for a more climatic ending. Not his best, but a good read I world recommended.

Jeffrey Archer is a storyteller extraordinaire. This tale of 2 boys, born on the very same day, on opposite parts of the world and into completely opposed circumstances is gripping and exciting. Two men, who might have been the best of friends, but because of circumstance became bitter enemies. The characters are well developed and each loved (or hated) intensely by the reader. Just a wonderful tale. The reading by Jason Culp was excellent too. Highly recommend!

Willy Wonka's famous chocolate factory is opening at last! But only five lucky children will be allowed inside. And the winners are: Augustus Gloop, an enormously fat boy whose hobby is eating; Veruca Salt, a spoiled-rotten brat whose parents are wrapped around her little finger; Violet Beauregarde, a dim-witted gum chewer with the fastest jaws around; Mike Teavee, a toy-pistol-toting gangster-in-training who is obsessed with television; and Charlie Bucket, Our Hero, a boy who is honest and kind, brave and true, and good and ready for the wildest time of his life!

Of course this is a classic and well loved story. Unfortunately the reading was terrible. Very fast and it's like the guy didn't know what punctuation is... it was like one long run on sentence and I could barely understand it.
