Along for the ride is Gus Berry, who knows full well the very thing that is killing Collie is also keeping her alive. Amazing Keith and RC have done it again
Reviewed: 2021-03-11
I sometimes get worried around book 6 in a series because the original ideas go away and the author loses the flow of a series, Well that has not happened here. I enjoyed this book so much I was sad it was over. Some would have pieced this book in to multiple books to make more but this was not done here and makes you feel like you get your money worth. If this isn't my favorite in the mountain Man series then it is in the top three for sure.
The Narrator, RC Bray has nailed it once again, when he is reading Gus it makes me feel like Gus is telling me the story and I love that. Mountain Man is the series that introduced me to Bob and he has ruined pretty much every other book not performed by him, thanks a lot lol
Keith and Bob you guys do amazing work together and please keep it up for many years to come

Story
One thousand years later. Humanity has left Earth behind and is rapidly expanding throughout the galaxy under the banner of The Union, a white supremacist government who racially ‘purified’ the human race hundreds of years in the past. Living on the fringe of this twisted Fourth Reich society, Dark Horse - the only Black man in the Union - commandeers a vessel and scours the galaxy for his missing teammates under the guise of an Exo-Hunter, seeking out exo-planets to satiate the Union’s need for colonization.

trifecta,Great Book, Great Author, Great Narrator
Reviewed: 2021-02-22
Great book I really got a kick out of all the 80s references. I wasn't going to purchase this book but seen the author and narrator so I took the chance, and it was well worth it, when you get down to the soul of the book it is a problem that is a cancer in our societies. Being Canadian I have a front row seat to many problems of America and that also here in Canada. I like how the awareness of our race problems were intertwined into the story and gave a future scenario most of us hope never comes close to be coming true.
My summary is that's it's a great book that is worth the time and money,or credit to purchase. I can't wait for the next one

Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me.

A great book and I'm glad I bought it and well worth the listen. I am thankful that he took the time to share his experience and views on experiences with us

really like this next book in the Mountain man series. i didn't enjoy it as much as the previous books but in saying that it was really good. I believe no matter what your of this opinion this book it was necessary to advance the Mountain Man story. In books and shows you need an information filler season or book to drive the story ahead and that's what i feel this book is. don't get me wrong it was a well written and had lots of substance, i feel the next chapter will be epic because i have faith in Keith C Blackmore.
great listen well worth the purchase and my biggest complaint is that i don't know how long i have to wait for MM6.
Keith from a fellow maritimer(NB) I'm glad i found your books and keep up the great work!!
R.C. Bray love your books you have ruined me to be able to listen to a lot of different narrators. The mountain man series is what introduced me to you. Love your work keep it up and i hope you have a pocket of time carved out in your busy schedule for MM6 AS SOON AS ITS DONE, because we need morrrrrrree!!!!!!
