Story
Rick Mercer can always be relied on to provoke a strong reaction - but what he said one fall day in 2017 truly shocked Canada. In a rant posted on social media, the great Canadian satirist announced loud and clear that the 15th season of the Rick Mercer Report - the nation's best-watched and best-loved comedy show - would be the last. This volume brings together never-before-published rants from the last five seasons of the show, plus a selection of the very best rants from earlier years.

I have always enjoyed Rick Mercer’s show incl Rants. I might have to listen again to jot down some of the dates. Amidst COVID & politics- it was interesting to hear him talk about things from 10 years ago & I noticed; not much has changed!
Really enjoyed it... ALOT!! Thank you Rick Mercer

Story
It is now 100 years since drugs were first banned in the United States. On the eve of this centenary, journalist Johann Hari set off on an epic three-year, 30,000-mile journey into the war on drugs. What he found is that more and more people all over the world have begun to recognize three startling truths: Drugs are not what we think they are. Addiction is not what we think it is. And the drug war has very different motives to the ones we have seen on our TV screens for so long.

I was told to listen this story. All the prior chapters of 17, made no sense to me. Wasnt sure how this pertained to the story & I think some conversations were embellished. Did not entertain me.

Story
Jenna Fischer's Hollywood journey began at the age of 22 when she moved to Los Angeles from her hometown of St. Louis. She was determined, confident, and ready to work hard. So, what could go wrong? Uh, basically everything. The path to being a professional actor was so much more vast and competitive than she’d imagined. It would be eight long years before she landed her iconic role on The Office, nearly a decade of frustration, rejection, and doubt. If only she’d had a handbook for the aspiring actor. Or, better yet, someone to show her the way. Jenna wants to be that person for you.

Glad I’m not an actor!

So glad Jenna narrated her book. I really enjoyed the whole thing. Never wanted to be an actor but it gives you an insight into how much work; determination; persistence & thick-skin you need to pursue this career. Sad it ended.

Story
Mark, Todd, and Zola came to law school to change the world, to make it a better place. But now, as third-year students, these close friends realize they have been duped. They all borrowed heavily to attend a third-tier, for-profit law school so mediocre that its graduates rarely pass the bar exam, let alone get good jobs. And when they learn that their school is one of a chain owned by a shady New York hedge-fund operator who also happens to own a bank specializing in student loans, the three know they have been caught up in The Great Law School Scam.

Don’t make this into a movie!

This is not one of John Grisham’s better stories. I have loved most of the others. The narrator wasn’t the best for this story but I did muster my way through all 10 hours of this!

I learned so much about this couple & how they got to where they are. Chip is more narrative than Joanna but thats ok. Kudos to them for sticking it out even when Chip “has another idea”! They encouraged each other.
