This collection gives you the first three books in the Ward Security series - the spinoff to the Unbreakable Bonds series by the same authors. Warning - we go back in time at the start. If you've completed the Unbreakable series like I have, it's a bit head-scratching to go back to when Lucas & Andrei have just committed to each other! Although the Unbreakable boys all appear in these books, and have major roles in the plots, the MC's are the security guards working for Rowe Ward at Ward Security.

"Psycho Romeo" is the first book - brings back Geoffrey (the blond party boy who was after Snow) and his sexual tension with Sven, the big Scandanavian security dude. "Dante's Unglued" is the second book - Shane (the private investigator who Hollis works for and the ex of Jude) needs some IT experience for a client project, so Ward loans him Quinn for a month and things quickly get spicy. "Deadly Dorian" was my favorite of these three. It introduces characters we are not familiar with - Marc is a bigtime art dealer who needs protection from someone trying to kill him, so he hires Royce from Ward Security and things get hot and complicated as they try to sort everything out. Rowe is much more involved in the plot in this third book.

Although you can read this series stand-alone, I think you'll appreciate it more if you read the Unbreakable Bonds series first. There are several lists that blend the two series together in terms of timeline. I'm not one to jump back and forth from one series to another so I finished Unbreakable in it's entireity and then started Ward. It does not detract from your reading satisfaction!

For all of us fans of the Myron Bolitar series, this new novel from HC is so darn welcome. Don't worry, Myron is still off pursuing his new life and he's only mentioned in passing - along with Hester Crimstien and others we all know. But now we have Win Lockwood as the central character and it appears this will be a new series with "#1" in the title. If you haven't read the Bolitar books, this one stands alone quite well. We get introduced to a whole new supporting cast and a dual plot that will leave you guessing why/how they synch with each other well into the final chapter. It's a guaranteed gasp at the end when they truth reveals itself. And Win opens up a bit and let's us into his family background & life experiences that have made him the 40-year old man he's become - nice to drill down a bit and understand how he thinks and makes decisions and what his core values are and why. I'm a golfer and lucky for me there are several scenes with golf as the backdrop. Loved Steven Webber's narration - he has a thing for bringing HC's characters to life.

This is book 8 and the last in the "Unbreakable Bonds" series. We get to visit Ian & Hollis 3-4 months after their wedding as they settle into married life. They are taking the classes to prepare for fostering as planned, along with expanding Ian's restaurant empire. Unfortunately, someone from Ian's current or former network is "out to get him" and we have more suspense. We see all members of the "family" grow and accept Ian as their equal and not just their "pet" as Ian wedges himself into the action rather than just keeping the home fires burning. Nice to see Ian & Hollis actually fight with each other, then make up over brownies - makes them seem more real.

Bonus points to Ms Drake & Ms Elliott for giving us an Epilogue to the whole series. For this, I will forgive the authors for only letting us see one wedding, not three. I have that hollow empty feeling that always comes when a series wraps, but it's buffered by knowing the guys have solid futures - individually - as couples - and as a "family".

We invested emotion in 2 characters in the final two novels that were not included in the Epilogue - JB & Max. Each of those two could come back in a stand-alone if the authors get the urge - they both just "ghosted" away.

Kenneth Obi's narration for this whole series was sensational - what a loss his passing has dealt us.

7th in this incredible series - so compelling!

This is the 7th & next-to-last book in the incredible "Unbreakable Bonds" series. This one really focuses on Rowe & Noah. Page 1 of Chapter One opens at Ian & Hollis's wedding reception with the whole gang present. By the end of the chapter, Rowe & Noah are on their way home and the suspense actually begins on that drive. The rest of the gang really only appear peripherally until the final chapter when they get back together for a barbeque. The ambush in Afghanistan is the core issue here, where Rowe & Noah first met. Something is fishy even now about the whole incident and when old Ranger buddy JB contacts Noah about new developments, Noah, Rowe, and JB head to Washington DC to peel back the layers of the onion and get to the bottom of things. About 75% of this novel is based in DC, not Cincy. We get new details about Rowe's background and we also get to go through Rowe & Noah's sorting process relative to their personal relationship. There is less "sexy time" in this book compared to the earlier ones - this one is more about emotional connection than physical connection. As usual, Kenneth Obi is sensational with his narration and he really makes the author's creation come alive!

Book 6 of a really remarkable series!

I am really a huge fan of the "Unbreakable Bonds" series. This is book #6 out of 8. We start off on page 1 getting introduced to Lucas & Andrei's newborn - then we never see them again until Chapter 12, LOL. They do come back in a big way and we see them settling into fatherhood while still contributing to the "brotherhood." This story has Snow & Jude as the MC's. They finally get a week of vacation simultaneously, but their "staycation" quickly dissolves when we get to the suspense - turns out Jude's younger brother Jordan has a secret life and Jordan has been found roughed-up, shot, and left for dead in a vacant lot. So Snow & Jude team up with Noah & Rowe and decide to solve the mystery together rather than getting the cops involved - for reasons that will unravel to you as you read along. Jordan clings to life in a coma while the good guys chase down the bad guys - who turn out to be loosely allied to old nemesis Jagger. Great plot development as usual from these authors, and Kenneth Obi gives his usual stellar narration - so awesome to have him narrating this series from start to finish. Only two more books left now and it's going to be hard for me to let go of these guys after the last 2 books!

Next book in a KILLER series!

I have fallen in love with the "Unbreakable" boys, and this is the 5th installment in an 8-novel series. This time we are back with Lucas & Andre as the primary characters and the others in support. Ian is busy planning Lucas' & Andre's upcoming wedding. But an emergency in Lucas' family back in Oklahoma has Lucas and Snow flying out to solve the problem. They end up spending a lot more time than they initially expected, and along the way more of the Cincy crew flys out to assist. We learn a lot about both Lucas' and Snow's childhoods and family life. And as usual there is plenty of suspense, including will they all make it back in time for the scheduled nuptials? You can probably guess how that shakes out, and we get a great HEA in the last couple chapters. There are also plenty of hints in this one about Lucas & Andre planning a family together. As usual, Kenneth Obi is terriffic in narration and I am pumped to move on to installment #6!.

This volume completes the first four suspense novels of the Unbreakable Bonds Series. Combined with volume 1, you get "Shiver" / "Shatter" / "Torch" / "Devour" - the first 4 novels.

You also get the first 2 novellas (1.5 - Lucas / 2.5 - Snow). These novellas are great because they take the MC's out of the suspenseful situations with Jagger and instead add a lot of depth to each character's interpersonal relationships. In order to get novella 3.5 (Rowe) and 4.5 (Ian) I had to buy the paperbacks on Amazon. You don't get 3.5 or 4.5 in these volumes. Go to Amazon and select "Unbreakable Bonds Short Story Collection" to find them. Book form or Kindle - no Audible for these.

Can't say enough about Kenneth Obi's narration - just terriffic!

Really enjoyed diving into the Unbreabable Bond story. Lucas, Snow, Rowe & Ian are four compadres that have forged a tight bond that has morphed into a kind of family. We get to follow each guy as they fight their good fights, and also as each forms a lasting relationship with their chosen partners. The writing is crisp and compelling and it's great to get started with this 1st collection in Volume 1. I liked that each of the MC's are contemporary mainstream guys. I also liked that all the characters constantly are part of the plot throughout the series - nobody disappears. We get plenty of thrilling action woven into a plotline that is very believable, not over-the-top. And also plenty of "sexy time."

This Volume 1 introduces us to MC Lucas (self-made millionaire developer) and the relationship that forms between Lucas and Andrei, his hot Romanian bodyguard. You also get a novella that takes a deeper dive into their relationship. Finally we get the second novel about MC Snow (chief surgeon at the hospital) and his emerging relationship with a sexy EMT. That completes this Volume, so you get 2 novels and 1 novella all for one credit - great value!

Once you finish this Volume, there is a lot more to the series - 8 novels in total, along with 4 novellas. Everything is narrated by the incomparable Kenneth Obi who does his usual masterful job of bringing these guys to life. Get started with the series here with Volume 1, then enjoy the ride!

Enjoyed this series and highly recommend it. For anyone involved with/interested in human puppy play or D/s relationships this series is for you! Jackson has a thriving dog training practice. Young subs Sawyer & Connor are actively looking for a Master to take ownership and give them their pup identities that they crave. How they connect and evolve to their HEA ending gives this series a lot of weight. Since you get the entire series (over 20 hours total) for one credit, it's a great value along with being a highly entertaining read. Plenty of sexy time. And Kenneth Obi's superior narration really brings the plot and character development to life.

When M.A. Innes wants to write a little more mainstream, she writes under the name Shaw Montgomery.

Great value here - you get all 4 books bundled together for one Audible credit. Each book focuses on one of the brothers, but the whole crew interacts throughout the series. The guys inherit an insurance agency from their deceased father and the plot is focused on their BDSM lifestyles & relationships as they go about their daily routines. Great plot with lots of twists and turns along with excellent character development with plenty of plot twists. The guy's mom has been touring Europe all summer and she comes home at the end and really brings all the plotlines in focus for a great HEA. Kenneth Obi is a great narrator!
