This book is so full of wisdom and eye opening detail about women and girls the world over that there is no way to read this and not feel both growth and gratitude. Gates’ book has me researching ways to help the most disenfranchised. A definite must read.

I read Big Magic today in one go. I was not sure what to expect, as I was not a fan of Eat, Pray, Love (I know! Hold the stones and pitchforks! It was popular, but it was not for me). I can honestly that I loved Big Magic exactly as much as I did not love Eat, Pray, Love. It was beautiful. Elizabeth Gilbert writes so vividly about the capriciousness and vitality of creativity and she is so incredibly sincere and, let’s face it, magical in her writing that it is easy to imagine that one has been visited by the Muses oneself. Her story of Ann Patchett is at once awesome and incredible. I can not recommend this highly enough.
