This by far is the best mystery series I have listened to. Great mysteries AND loads of interesting history. I have fallen In love with the ways of early Celtic Christianity and wished it didn’t fall to the Roman ways. The Irish culture was very advanced in its ways of law and letting women lead! Thank you to Mr Tremayne for teaching these lessons in an interesting venue. I will be sad when the series is over but hope he keeps writing more Sister Fidelma mysteries. Love the narrator too! That is how I found this series, through the narrator. I have purchased them all. The two that aren’t on audible I’ve purchased in written form. As one listens to the series it enables the learning of proper pronunciation of the Irish words. I have learned a lot while being entertained. Very valuable books!

Well said.

The mystery was good but what I thought was weird about the book is that they have a pastor, priest, etc using the Lord's name in vain. It's fine to have all kinds of swearing and other characters to curse. A "Real" minister of the church of Jesus would not use His name as a curse. Just plain weird that the author would do that.

Good but....

I enjoyed this book but I am disappointed how the discipline was carried out. I thought that it was was over the top. First of all Brittany's friend gossips about her to the leadership before she even got a chance to tell them herself. That wasn't a "christian" thing to do. Second, when people are ready to repent and tell the leaders; that is when they make them step down. It was all fine when they were doing what they shouldn't in secret but when they come out to their leaders to stop they are made to step down. The loving thing is to make them accountable while they still lead. We are about forgiveness and love. When a person is making themselves vulnerable and stepping out, the church hits them when they are down. I'm sure many people have left the Christianity for this reason. Peter didn't step down when he denied Jesus. He realized the mistake and went on to be even stronger. Peter didn't get a time out to sit in the corner and learn a lesson. I guess it's because Jesus didn't come to start another religion. Humans made the religion of Christianity. I did like the book, just am sad about people's action and not being love, as Jesus is. I really like the subject about how we think we would never fall. Always be aware, anyone can fall to anything especially the least expected. For that reason everyone should read this book.

It’s a great reminder of putting the positive in our lives and keeping negative thoughts out of our life. Science has caught up with what God has always been teaching. How meditation keeps us healthy. Keeps diseases away.
