I ended up not finishing this book, something I very rarely do. I kept expecting something to happen, but it was just the same repetitive storyline hour after hour. Disappointing after all the positive reviews.

One stormy Irish summer night, Olive and her best friend, Rose, begin to lose things. It starts with simple items like hairclips and jewelry, but soon it's clear that Rose has lost something much bigger, something she won't talk about, and Olive thinks her best friend is slipping away. Then seductive diary pages written by a girl named Laurel begin to appear all over town. And Olive meets three mysterious strangers: Ivy, Hazel, and her twin brother, Rowan, secretly squatting in an abandoned housing estate.

I really struggled getting through this book. The first few hours are hard to follow, and although the narrators did a good job, I think it's one of those books that really needs to be read in paper form. I didn't really get into it until over the half way point, and just when things were getting interesting there was a long, drawn out ending that was kind of anti climactic.
