Story
Two years ago, Louise le Blanc fled her coven and took shelter in the city of Cesarine, forsaking all magic and living off whatever she could steal. There, witches like Lou are hunted. They are feared. And they are burned. As a huntsman of the Church, Reid Diggory has lived his life by one principle: Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. But when Lou pulls a wicked stunt, the two are forced into an impossible situation - marriage. Lou, unable to ignore her growing feelings, yet powerless to change what she is, must make a choice. And love makes fools of us all.

Funny & gripping!

I found myself laughing numerous times throughout the course of the book; yet the story was dramatic enough to keep me listening non stop because I just had to know what happened next.
I completely fell for Lou, Reid, Coco & Ansel.
Character development was superb!
Male Narrator was a bit hard to listen to when he was doing female voicing, but I still can't wait to delve into book two!

A fast paced , gripping new world from Karen!
From the first sentence I was hooked.
I was immediately part of Jesse's world.
Character development, & world design is so brilliant and well thought out.
Action, love, despair, friendship, peril, & celebration! This book has it all!
Dive into this faerie realm, you won't be disappointed!

St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school - it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic, and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now, they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s - the very place where they’re most in danger....

Intriguing storyline. I really appreciate the thought put into making the vampire world more diverse and less of the same, typical view of the vampire.
Only thing lacking for me was the female voice on a male, Russian character. I wish Demitri had a male voice.
