Sadie hasn't had an easy life. Growing up on her own, she's been raising her sister, Mattie, in an isolated small town, trying her best to provide a normal life and keep their heads above water. But when Mattie is found dead, Sadie's entire world crumbles. After a somewhat botched police investigation, Sadie is determined to bring her sister's killer to justice and hits the road following a few meager clues to find him. When West McCray - a radio personality working on a segment about forgotten towns in America - overhears Sadie's story, he becomes obsessed with finding the girl.

Lucy has been writing her dissertation on Sappho for nine years when she and her boyfriend break up in a dramatic flameout. After she bottoms out in Phoenix, her sister in Los Angeles insists Lucy dog-sit for the summer. Annika's home is a gorgeous glass cube on Venice Beach, but Lucy can find little relief from her anxiety - not in the Greek chorus of women in her love addiction therapy group, not in her frequent Tinder excursions, not even in Dominic the foxhound's easy affection.

What a ride. The book was thrilling, horrifying and hilarious all at once. I would recommend it to anyone who's not too squeamish about graphic descriptions of bad sex.

Lucy Hutton has always been certain that the nice girl can get the corner office. She's charming and accommodating and prides herself on being loved by everyone at Bexley & Gamin. Everyone except for coldly efficient, impeccably attired, physically intimidating Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual.

Loved it! The story was adorable and I devoured it. The narration was amazing and flowed perfectly. I don't usually enjoy my fiction in audiobook form but I tried it out with this book. It was a great experience!
