this was a great book, I loved the story and how the characters find love and learn to accept it. But the audio narrators were not good...
Eli is described to have this New Orleans accent and the female narrator does her best to try to performed it, but it felt weird.... and the the male narrator comes up and DOES NOT do an accent at all.... it just felt like Eli was 2 different people depending on the narrator. I listened to the hole thing because I wanted to see the end end of the story but will not be listening to it again, I will get the book instead.
so sorry that this great story gets diminished by such a weird narration, but I sincerely recommend the book.
Eli was charming and the sex was steamy, and Kate was a strong lady not waiting to get attached but fell hard in the end.
I wish they will redo the audio and choose other narrators that do justice to this great book.

Let's get one thing straight - Ivy Wilde is not a heroine. In fact she's probably the last witch in the world you'd call if you needed a magical helping hand, regardless of her actual abilities. If it were down to Ivy, she'd spend all day every day on her sofa, where she could watch TV, munch junk food, and talk to her feline familiar to her heart's content. However, when a bureaucratic disaster ends up with Ivy as the victim of a case of mistaken identity, she's yanked very unwillingly into Arcane Branch.

I highly recommend this book and the ones that follow. The story is compelling and interesting, different in a good way. I was super funny and I looked like a loon laughing to my self in the bus to work. I am sure it will not appeal to every one as the main character (Ivy) is very much into not putting a lot effort into anything she does, like take the elevator instead of the stairs, being a couch potato instead of going for a run…. Which I can relate to LOL
I really enjoy the cat and tough it was really funny how she made a spell for him to talk and the few words the cat chose to use with her, so hilarious; pretty sure my cat will be like that….
I found it interesting how to very different people could look pass their many differences in life styles and still fall in love and make it work.
I hope this review helps someone make the decision to buy this book, and that you enjoy it as I did.

Lucy Hutton has always been certain that the nice girl can get the corner office. She's charming and accommodating and prides herself on being loved by everyone at Bexley & Gamin. Everyone except for coldly efficient, impeccably attired, physically intimidating Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual.
