The narrator did a wonderful job but the story its self was really boring. The author kept bashing us over the head with the main characters age and life situation, it gets really old, really fast. Over all it was an okay book but I can't recommend it because the end is really obvious and the writing in boring. pass on this book and pick up any thing by Tess Gerritsen.

This was a horrible book, the narrator was the only good thing about the 2.5 hours I wasted on this story.
the plot was convoluted, the story was boring and the characters were total garbage. I gave it 2.5hours to see if it would improve but it was just horrid from start to finish so I returned it and got a different book. I would not recommend this series at all.

it's a good story just a little slow to start. the book really could have done with a more attention based editor because there have been large plot holes and strange continuity issues left.

Catalina is a worthy heroine, the story was a bit slow to start but it picks up and has a strong conclusion. The tone is very different to the first three books in the series but it's not surprising since the lead character has changed. The writing is fantastic and it was great getting to catch up with other characters from the original trilogy but it was a little disappointing that Nevada, Rogan and Cornelius were barely in this book. The Narrator was funny and engaging.

this is an awesome story, the narrator is fantastic, the characters are richly crafted and fun to read about. the cover art does the book a disservice but if you ignore that and give it a chance you won't regret the investment of your time. I can't wait to start the next book in the series

Another action packed thrill ride from Karen Chance. My only real complaint is how long it takes for Pritkin to make an appearance.

This book was amazing, it was better than the 1st in the series and that's saying something because the first book was fantastic. The characters are well written and funny, the story has a pretty fast pace and the narrator does a wonderful job.

I'm a very big fan of the Cassie Palmer series so i was excited but nervous to start a new series in the same universe, all i can say is that its amazing and a really fun story. Dory is a kick butt heroine and i love her perspective on this universe. The story can be a little confusing because it is running concurrently with the Cassie series, you need to read the other series as well for parts of the book to make full sense. I'd recommend reading both series at the same time. You can find a time line (reading order) on Karen chance's website.

I read this series of books many years ago and decided to get back in to them since Anne Rice has started to write new books in the series, all i can say is that these books are not anywhere near as good as i remember them being.... The story felt rushed in places and the climax at the end was not worth all the hours i had to put in to get there.
