I have no idea how I feel about this book. First off, I thought the narrator was great no issues there. I think it was just a lot of me wanting to rip my hair out at the weird way the communicate with one another - or lack thereof. Overall, I think it was great, touched on a lot of heavy subjects - abuse, mental illness, sexual harassment/assault, suicide. Overall I think 3.5 for the story!

It was an okay book. Some stories were good, others were meh. This is my first time reading/listening this author and I found that she's a good writer. I just don't think I'm a fan of short stories like this. I find it the same with Atwood's short stories - good writing, depressing characters, not necessarily a story I care about.

imagine a national hero in your country that you know all about, who is famous, whose stories are legendary. now imagine reading about a 3 hero of some other nation, that you've never heard of and know nothing about. pretty much what I did. nothing wrong with the story, or writing...I just didn't grow up with Ned Kelly therefore I did not care.

Personally, I really enjoyed this book. It's a great answer to "what happens next" as Atwood put it in her author's note.

really makes you think...

I loved this book. It was a truly fascinating read (listen?). I really like how matter of fact she explores death and I agree that death practices here in Canada and the USA are due for a change of attitude, even if it's just baby steps.

The authors performance for the audio book was passionate and well done. Super easy to listen too, she has a great speaking voice.

So Sullivan is my favourite author atm and I’m totally in love with all his books. I honestly can’t get enough of these books. It’s my second time going through the series and just in time for he fourth book of Chronicles <3 #Audible1
