In her memoir, a work of deep reflection and mesmerizing storytelling, Michelle Obama invites listeners into her world, chronicling the experiences that have shaped her - from her childhood on the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive balancing the demands of motherhood and work to her time spent at the world's most famous address. With unerring honesty and lively wit, she describes her triumphs and her disappointments, both public and private, telling her full story as she has lived it - in her own words and on her own terms.
I tried so hard to love this book...but couldn't..

Real and profoundly honest.

I have always wondered how it must be to live and breath being the first family, living in the White house, under such an intense magnifying glass. Now I know, I felt every emotion along with the First Lady. She is a great story teller, her voice was soothing, honest and her strength came through with every described situation. Her hopes, journey and optimism were relatable and resonates in many of us. The Obama legacy will live on, in their decency, high morals and integrety. Well done, and when the current situation goes low, they went high! From your northern neighbour in Canada, thank you for sharing your journey.
